Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors Program Seeks Assistant Coach for 7th and 8th gROWth program – Fall 2009/ Spring 2010

Tulsa Rowing Club is seeking an assistant coach for its 7th and 8th grade gROWth program. This will be a recreational program available only for 7th and 8th grade student athletes. The goal of the program will be to expose youngsters to the sport and teach them the fundamentals of the sport. The program will run three times per week for two hours each session. At the end of the session there will be an interclub scrimmage for all involved.
Start Dates:
August 31st through November 6th (Fall Season) – 3 days per week
March 1st through May 7th (Spring Season) – 3 days per week
Responsibilities Include:
-Learn to Row (Novice) coaching for 7th and 8th graders
-Supervision and coordination of practices with an emphasis on safety
-Some equipment maintenance (knowledge of rigging a plus, but not required)
-Work with other coaches to develop the novice juniors rowing program.
Salary:
There is a small stipend available for successful applicants.
